My daughter wanted to
repaint the wooden furniture in her room. So, using the a compulsory
deportation at home, during therapy, we initiated theme of dresser
and shelf. Today will be this first. Using the possibility of having
a superb paints of DecoArt Chalky Finish Paint we madeover the said
furniture to wanted by descendant. Well, not quite entirely, because
the pinks it was my initiative, for not so boring. :)
Besides, as a tip, I used
advice Agneszka of DecoKreacje, she is (as for me) a specialist in
chalk paints, to mix paint with the clear wax, thus obtaining the right
wanted color for accentuating. Because, Let's agree, brown, or dark
brown of these waxes is not always what you want. I didn't want brown
and using clear wax and paint Relic I had dark grey wax. It's just
that dries fairly quickly, so you have to be careful. But you can
make further adjustments wiping with clear wax.
After painting (with candle wax between layers of colour for rough fryings) furniture were sanded and then waxed where there were supposed to be dark, then covered with dark wax, then again sanded and at finish whole waxed :) Drawers of dresser were waxed on all surfaces, but top only at edges.
